Miscanthus sinensis ‘Rotsilber’
Eulalia
‘Rotsilber’ is a clump-forming grass, deciduous, but with tough stems and leaves which stay interesting in winter. One of the earlier flowering cultivars, it begins to flower in mid-summer. It has a compact, upright habit, to 1.7 m tall when in flower. The leaves have a distinctive silver midrib, and flowers are silvery, tinged red-purple when young, and remaining attractive into the late autumn. Very hard but not evergreen. Moist but well-drained soil.
